Have you ever wanted to create cool designs for a cd or dvd cover, a personalized logo, or create a 3D text graphic that changes color? Maybe you would like to learn how 3D animations are created so you can design your own. You can learn to do all these exciting things and more in this course.
* The age requirements for this course are 8 to 17.
This Course is structured into 3 levels to help the students learn all phases of Computer Graphic Design. Students will learn how to create basic designs such as logos, collages, CD covers, abstract art and 3D animations.
LEVEL 1:
(Introduction to Computer Graphics Design)
Description of the tools and their capabilities used in Photoshop
Define the different file types associated with graphic design
Graphics Interchange Format (gif)
Joint Photographic Experts Group (jpeg)
Portable Network Graphic (png)
Tagged Image File Format (tiff)
Open a sample file for review and editing
Learn how to make changes to files using layers.
Add special effects using filters and blending
LEVEL 2:
(Create Computer Graphics for Web Pages and Print Media)
Students will learn how to create and edit the following:
Logos and Banner Text for web pages
CD covers and Flyers for Print
Photographic Images for both web pages and print
Students will also learn to create short movies using Macromedia Flash
LEVEL 3:
(The Structure and Design Layout of 3Dimensional Images)
Students will be introduced to 3D modeling using special software applications
An Overview of tools and their capabilities used in these programs
Open and Examine sample files for further understanding the different properties used
Students will design and create their own 3D graphic for a sample web page
