3D Lego Design | K-2nd Grade
With our technology driven world it's important to prepare our children for their future. In 3D Lego Design we take the fun concept of traditional Lego's and combine it with the digital world of 3D modeling. Students will interact with real life Lego's then recreate them digitally in the computer. They will learn to create 3D characters, environments, props, vehicles and more. Students will explore the concepts of 3D modeling. Children will learn and use basic computer skills, perspective, 3D modeling techniques, simple mathematics and problem solving skills. Jr. Lego Robotics | k-2nd Grade
Powered by the LEGO® Education Wedo Base Set and Software, our Lego Robotics class combines the exciting world of Lego to manipulate and program your own personal robot. This class is tailored for younger children to learn the basics of visual programming by creating commands with drag and-drop simplicity. Students will work together as a small team of young engineers to build then program their designs. This class is great for children who are hands on and like working together in teams. Lego kits provided.
Jr. Video Game Design | 1st-3rd Grade
Now available for ages 1st-3rd grade this special class is specifically design for young children to cultivate their interest to become game designers,multimedia artist, engineers, programmers and more! Give your child the opportunity to see how professional games are made. Learn cutting-edge computer skills through the fun art of 3D Game Design using award winning Platinum Arts Sandbox. In this exciting class, children will use basic 3D modeling skills to create their very own video game. They will learn to customize game attributes and build their own virtual world from scratch. Students will accquire computer skills, mathematics, creativity and basic problem solving skills.
FPS Level Design | 4th-8th Grade
Aspiring game designers will love this class by utilizing the industry standard game design software Unreal® Editor,used for such games as Batman: Arkham Asylum® and Mass Effect 3® the PC & Xbox360® By utilizing the same software used in some colleges & Universities we have designed a curriculum easy enough for younger students to grasp. Students will learn to create exterior environments, apply different procedures of modeling and applying textures. Learn to work in multiple viewports, learn how to import pre-set 3D models, control dynamic lighting, add interactive vehicles, tools and weapons to create an engaging FPS map. By the last class students will have a fully functional level and will receive a link to download the software and student levels.

This class is great for new or returning students as the material is different from our other Game Design classes.
2D Game Design | 3rd-8th Grade
In this class students will utilize Platinum Arts Sandbox to develop a 2D linear based levels similar to classic Mario & Sonic Games. Children will utilize problem solving skills, simple mathematics and team feedback to create a challenging but rewarding game. Students will 1st draw and map out their levels similar to an architect, then sculpt their environment using 3D modeling tools within the software. As children continue building & texturizing their map students will learn to input properties to customize items, such as jumppads, teleports, enemies and more. As they advance their skills they will utilize command lines to change world properties such as, speed, gravity, & movement. By the last class students will have a fully functional level and will receive a link to download the software and student levels. This class is great for new or returning students as the material is different from our other Game Design classes.
RPG Game Design | 3rd-8th Grade
In this advanced class, students utilize a different version of Platinum Arts Sandbox in order to create a “Role Playing Game” similar to popular games like Dungeons & Dragons. Students will develop a simple story and create a quest that will immerse the player deeper into the game. This class focuses more on storyline development and basic scripting. Students will learn how to flesh out a storyline, and create their own NPC characters with unique dialogue to tell their story. They will use 3D modeling and other design skills in order to create their own game world, as well as learn how to alter the properties of in-game enemies and items in order to better represent their story. Do you have the perfect storyline idea for a video game, and need a way to express it? This class is one of the best ways to do it!
