Wouldn’t it be cool to design and create your very own website? How about creating a website that includes a flash animation and some cool 3D designs? How about posting you’re website on the internet so you can show it off to all your friends and family?

* The age requirements for this course are 8 to 17. Course is also available for adults.

This course is designed into 3 levels to help students learn the basic skills required to create their very own web page. Students will also learn how to upload web site files using tools such as FTP explorer for displaying their web site on the internet.

LEVEL 1:

What is a Web Page?

Introduction to layout and design

An Overview of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

Examine the various file types used in a web page

Format a web page applying the following content:

Html tag descriptions

Text Layout

Tables

Computer Graphics

Page Backgrounds

Hyperlinks

LEVEL 2: 
(Learn Content Style using Cascading Style Sheets)

Does it move or stand still?

Introduction to the basic functions and capabilities of CSS

Apply dynamic content to web pages using CSS

Examine property values associated with .CSS files

Enhance the look of a web page using:

Scrollbar Colors

Textbox Backgrounds

CSS Positioning properties for Text and Graphics

Sound files such as (.wav )

LEVEL 3:
(Learn to develop web page animation using Flash and JavaScript)

Make it move and change before your very eyes!

Part I - Examine the break down of a basic flash animation

Learn the use and functions of various tools

Open a sample flash file for editing

Create a flash file for a web page

Learn how to embed into a HTML document

Part II - Uploading files for viewing on the internet
